Another example of the incunabulum (English “incunable”) or early printed book, this item has many hallmarks of medieval Bibles: double columns, rubricated initials that denote sections, and an index at the end that aids studying. This particular Bible includes prologues to each book by St. Jerome, and thanks to the colophon on the final page we know that Octavianus Scotus published it in Venice in 1480.
